Description
One of the most feminine-looking flowers is a ruffled, red hibiscus which grows in the summer. This is not the hardy variety, so it needs sunny climes. Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus has several hundred species that are native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Also, hibiscus tea is suggested by some cultures to prevent hypertension, lower blood pressure, reduce blood sugar levels, keep your liver healthy, help with menstrual cramps, help with depression, aid digestion and help with weight management. Its rich in Vitamin C, contains minerals such as flavonoids and has laxative properties.
